This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification including hands-on training (online-only certificates cannot be accepted) or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.
- Pre-class Requirements: Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions in the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skill session and classroom segment. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. You will receive the link to the pre-course work information the next business morning.
- Instructor Materials: Digital materials for instructing classes are provided through ARC at no additional cost, including the Instructor Manual and Course Presentations. A digital, or hardcopy, of the Instructor Manual is required to participate in this course. Hardcopy manuals are optional and may be purchased through Nation's Best CPR, American Red Cross, or you may print your own copy.
