**Coronavirus Alert – If you are sick or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please reschedule your training to avoid exposing classmates. Due to the current social distancing recommendations, all classes will have a maximum of 9 participants and be conducted as scheduled with adherence to CDC advisories. Please be assured that each student receives their own face shield and first aid kit for class participation.**
This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification including hands-on training (online-only certificates cannot be accepted) or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.
Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions in the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skill session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities.
You will receive the link to the pre-course work information two weeks prior to your class. There is minimal work required (approx 1-2 hours) before class which involves watching a very short video.
