This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification including hands-on training (online-only certificates cannot be accepted) or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.
- Pre-class Requirements: Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions in the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skill session and classroom segment. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. You will receive the link to the pre-course work information the next business morning.
- Instructor Materials: Digital materials for instructing classes are provided through ARC at no additional cost, including the Instructor Manual and Course Presentations. A digital, or hardcopy, of the Instructor Manual is required to participate in this course. Hardcopy manuals are optional and may be purchased through American Red Cross, or you may print your own copy.
